Academic CV template for economists
I put together a clean LaTeX template for junior economists preparing an academic CV, especially those approaching the job market. It follows the format I use for my own CV, without my personal information.
The file contains fictional examples, so you can see how each section works before replacing the examples with your own material.

CV_template.tex. - 02In Overleaf, create a blank project and upload the file using the file panel.
- 03Set it as the main document if Overleaf does not do so automatically.
- 04Replace your information section by section, then compile and download the PDF.
You do not need to install LaTeX on your computer if you use Overleaf. The template uses standard packages available there.

A couple of useful details
The template includes small commands for paper entries and indented abstracts. This keeps long publication lists aligned without manually adjusting every paragraph.
The typography is deliberately conventional. It is meant to be easy to read, easy to edit, and unlikely to distract from the research.
Before sending your CV
A short final pass catches more problems than another round of formatting.
- Dates and locations use the same format throughout.
- Paper titles, co-authors, and publication status are current.
- Every web and email link works.
- Advisors have read and approved the final PDF.
